A friend posted a clip of The Mackenzie Brothers today on Facebook and I just started getting homesick. That and the fact that Mum is having a Canada Day party...Im just a little lonesome. I am definitely looking forward to heading north here in a few weeks (and to cool off a smidge). So much so that I've started making a list of my favorite Canadian treats that I need to have when Im home...wanna see it?
Cheryll's Favorite Canadian Eats:
- Poutine
- Tim Horton's Coffee
- Hickory Sticks
- Caramilk bars
- Kraft Orange Shredded Cheese (like the kind you get in KD, only in a shaker)
- All Dressed and Ketchup chips (and variety would do)
- Hawkins cheesies
- St. Huberts
- gravy on my fries at a restaurant
- Bloody Ceasars
- Vachon Caramel Cakes
- Butter Tarts
- MacIntaosh Toffee
- Ringalos
- Corn Twists
- Alexander Keith's IPA
Im comin' home!

Don't forget the Timbits! I had a honey-glazed one the other day that was still warm from the oven. I thought I was in heaven.
But wait a second...New York Fries serves Poutine up here...I'm totally confused now.
Have you see the episode of Little Mosque on the Prairie where the mosque gets mice because the old guys keep dropping their Ringalos on the carpet? Do you get Little Mosque in Texas? My favourite is the red neck right wing radio talk show host who spews anti-Muslim stuff on the radio, but can't stop eating at Fatima's Cafe and asking the Imam for advice.
