On Friday nite we travelled over to Southlake for a Lego Birthday party. Yes it was a long trek in traffic, but I think it was well worth it. The kids had a really great time and it was something totally different for us. The theme was a king/knights party. It started with the king (the b-day boy) knighting his knights in a knighting ceremony. Then they all went back to build their swords and shields to ready themselves for battle against the evil dragons that were storming the castle. After the swords were readied, the command was given and the dragons were all captured, and a dungeon was constructed to house these dragons.
After all that lego building, it was pizza and cake, and the goody bags- where the kids each got to go pick out 20 lego pieces each to take home with them. I also bought the boys a dragon since they were so darn cute (the dragons AND the boys I guess). BTW, Josh's dragon is called Flappy and Jake's is called Smoky.
Jake said that for his next birthday party, he wants it at Legoland. I think it was a hit.
