Yesterday the Explorers got to go to see the Frisco Roughriders. The roughriders are a local minor league baseball team here in Frisco and we have taken the boys many times before, and its always fun and entertaining. This is the first time I've sent Jake without me. But it sounds like they had a great time- even if they didn't stay for long. Yesterday was over 100 degrees with a heat index of 106, so it was H-O-T. They only stayed for a few innings before the chaperones decided to bring the kids home before heat stroke set in- which is fine with me. I was worried that the sunscreen I'd put on at 7:30am was worn off anyways- so Im personally glad that they were back at school by 1:30. The second big treat for the kids was, they got to go through the McDonald's drive through and eat McDonald's at school- in fact, I think that was a bigger deal than going to the roughriders game! How sad is that!
I said it before, and Im sure Ill say it again, but Im LOVING this summer program at Primrose!
